Il Viaggio Verso L'Italia

Learning Italian, Phrase by Simple Phrase

October 11, 2017

Hai alcune domande?

hai = you have, 2nd person singular present tense of avere, "to have"

alcune = some, describing a plural feminine noun. Always used with a countable noun

domande = questions. The singular would be domanda, "question"

Do you have some questions? One of my challenges in learning new languages is listening, particularly when native speakers speak quickly! I have been practicing by listening to Italian as much as possible. My current favorite podcast is Coffee Break Italian, which includes a Scottish teacher, a Scottish learner, and a native Italian speaker from the north of Italy.

This is the continuation of a mini project, where for the next few days, I will use the same basic word in multiple forms, eventually completing the table of present tense conjugations. This week, it is avere, "to have."
